The Nordic Walking Certified Instructor Course is a 1.5 day course for health and fitness professionals such as physiotherapists, exercise physiologists, podiatrists, personal trainers and nurses. Held each Autumn and Spring in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Hobart, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, the Training Course produces high quality Nordic Walking Instructors equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to benefit their clients and patients, and to make their Nordic walking programs a success and an added revenue stream to their business.

The Nordic Academy Certified Nordic Walking Instructor Course is proudly accredited by Fitness Australia, Physical Activity Australia, ESSA (Exercise and Sport Science Australia) as well as APMA (Australian Pilates Method Association). Registered members of these associations gain 15 CECs, 3 PDPs, 13 CEPs or 1 CEC respectively, as a result of the successful completion of the course.

Assessment and Successful Completion of Nordic Walking Instructor Certification

Attendance at the Nordic Academy Instructor Training Course does not automatically result in participants qualifying as a Nordic Walking Instructor or in obtaining Nordic Walking Instructor Certification. The ability to demonstrate and instruct sound Nordic Walking techniques to the satisfaction of the Master Trainer, plus achieving a 'pass' in the written assessment task, is required.

Cancellation Policy

A minimum number of participants is required for each course to go ahead. In such a case that a course does not run, notification to registered participants will be given and rescheduling or a full refund will be offered.

Cancellation by participants for the Instructor Course will attract a $50 fee if notified 21 days or more before the course date. Cancellations of less than 21 days will result in a 50% refund of the course cost.

Course registration is valid and a place in the course is reserved when a completed registration form, supporting documents and full payment has been processed and accepted.
